Turning Point Community Service Center provides the following services to residents of the 97016 zip code.

Emergency food boxes-We are affiliated with the Oregon Food Bank. Our Regional food bank is the Columbia Pacific Food Bank in St Helens Oregon. Clients are allowed 1 food box per month and weekly fresh produce, dairy and bread when available.

Energy Assistance-We provide assistance with electricity costs to our clients who are customers of the Clatskanie PUD and who live within our service boundary. (proof of income will be required)

Transportation assistance-Gas vouchers available for medical appointments only.  Must show proof of appointment and location of visit.

Housing payment assistance-When funding is available we may assist with a partial payment toward rent or mortgage to prevent eviction or foreclosure. Proof of income required.

DHS applications-We have most forms on site for your convenience as well as staff members who can help you fill them out if you need assistance. Please note that clients receiving food box assistance will take precedence and you may have to wait until staff are free before receiving personal assistance with form filling. Thank you for your understanding.

 – NOHA (Section 8 Housing)
 – OHP (Oregon Health Plan)
 – SNAP (Food Stamps)
 – TANF (Cash to Needy Families)

Prescription assistance- is also available on a limited basis as funds allow. We can often help you connect with programs offered by the local clinics or the hospital which offer financial assistance to patients in need. If needed we may be able to pay for a single fill of a critical prescription.  Must be verified and non-narcotic – NO EXCEPTIONS
